Why Many People Blog Today

Making money with blogging is the primary goal of bloggers nowadays, but genuine blogging is not that. To me, blogging is sharing what you have learned in a particular field and monetizing that knowledge as an extra income source.

Today, AI is overtaking blogging, and those who share their personal experience can survive this AI flood.

Although People found that making money with blogging is way easier than in other digital marketing fields, they consider blogging as their primary source of income.

Businesses are trying to reach a global audience and want to get organic traffic to their products. That’s their reason for blogging.

Some are only sharing their day-to-day activities on their blogs just for fun and to get some income opportunities, even if they are not focusing on them.

So there are many reasons why people are blogging today but the main goal is to make money or build a brand from it.

Can Bloggers Make Money?

Yes, bloggers can make money from blogs, but only if you master blogging from the inside out. Blogging is hard work, too, but after the hard work, you will get paid by different companies. You can also earn money through Ads, affiliate marketing, collaborations, sponsorships, etc.

Your earnings can depend on the monthly traffic of your blog, your niche, and, most importantly, the engagement rates of your blog.

How to Start a Blog in 5 Easy Steps

To start a blog, you first have to come up with a blogging niche, so let’s learn how to choose one for your blog.

Step1: Choose a Blogging Niche

When choosing a niche, I always recommend our readers go with the niche where they can comfortably write at least 120 blogs in their first year. If you are comfortable writing 100 posts on food dishes, then you can go with a food niche.

Another example would be if you have a pet at home and you can write 100 blog posts about him/her(pet), then you can choose any one out of these pet blog niches.

It’s simple and easy to choose.

Remember, try to choose a niche where you have expertise and interest to write about consistently.

Step2: Pick a Blogging Platform (Blogger vs. WordPress)

To run a blog we need a CMS(content management System) and a hosting to host our website. You will find many hosting platforms that provide free CMS like WordPress within their plan but they are generally expensive to buy for new individuals.

There are free options also but they don’t provide you full access over your website with a lot of limitations to customize. The best example of a Free blogging platform is Blogger by google.

Both Blogger and WordPress are good but you have to choose one between them as per your requirement. I have compared Both with real life examples so you can go through the comparison.

Step3: Write and Publish Your First Blog Post

After setting up your blog, and theme, you can now start doing keyword research on your selected niche and start uploading content on your blog. Try to achieve a 120 post target by the end of your first year of blogging.

It’s not that 120 posts is the key to success but it can help you to gain some initial readers to your blog, and can help you to build your community if your content is good enough to attract them.

Step4: Optimize Your Blog for SEO

When setting up your blog, try to focus more on the Technical Seo of your blog, and after that you can focus on on-page and off-page seo along with blog writing.

Step5: Promote Your Blog and Attract Visitors

Use Social media platforms to drive initial traffic to your blog, you can use instagram, Pinterest, and other platforms in which you think you can get interested readers as per your niche.

Ask AI “Tell me the social media platforms where I can find the most active and engaged users in the [insert niche] niche. Please include platforms where niche-specific discussions and communities are most interactive.”

You can use Google’s AI or ChatGPT for this and try to focus on those platforms and share your published posts with their urls.

This way you can bring initial traffic to your blog which can boost your confidence to work faster and harder.

So there are some steps that you can follow to start a blog.
