How To Share a Tweet On Facebook [Working Method 2023]

This is the step-by-step guide where you will learn how to share a tweet on Facebook in 2023

Let me be clear about these things.

This is NOT a guide for temporary solutions to embed tweets on Facebook.

Here you will learn how to use Twitter & Facebook together by which you can share your content on both platforms together.

Yes, I will cover the best and easy guide to Sharing the tweet on Facebook.

In short, If you want an easy-to-understand guide for sharing tweets on Facebook, then you can go with our guide.

Along with this guide, I will also mention some alternatives by which you can share your content on many social media platforms at the same time. (Fewer efforts & less time taken)

How to share a tweet on Facebook

Cross-posting of social media posts from one social media platform to another is a favorite process of bloggers and marketers because by doing this, we can share any social media platform’s post on another social media platform with one click, and it saves our time too.

Twitter and Facebook, as you all know, are among the most popular social media platforms today.

So it makes sense to cross-post any post by bloggers and marketers on both these platforms.

So in this post, we are going to know how we can post tweets on Facebook and Facebook posts on Twitter in the same way.

It sounds easy, but to do all this, you have to follow this step-by-step guide.

Sharing of tweets from Twitter to Facebook

You can do this in 2 ways, but one method is not working since 2018. This method is the automatic cross-posting of tweets on Facebook walls.

2 Methods of sharing tweets

  1. Automatic Cross posting (not working)
  2. Manual posting.

So let’s discuss both the methods of sharing tweets and why you can’t use this not working method right now.

1. Automatic cross-posting of tweets on Facebook (not working method in 2023)

Before 2018, we could very easily connect these two social media platforms, and by doing so, your Twitter tweets were automatically shared on Facebook.

It was a very easy process and also saved the time of bloggers and marketers, as they can share their content on 2 different platforms at the same time.

You only have to go to your Twitter account, and after that, you have to click on the “privacy and setting” option.

After clicking, you had the option of “Applications and Devices,” and from here, you could easily connect both these platforms by clicking on the “Connect with Facebook” option.

Keeping in mind the Cambridge-Analytica scandal, Facebook changed the policies of its platform in such a way that no external apps or platforms could publish on Facebook.

Facebook has given this information in its blog post.

Facebook said that  “The publish_actions permission will be deprecated. This permission granted apps access to publish posts to Facebook as logged-in users. Apps created from today onwards will not have access to this permission. Apps created before today that have been previously approved to request publish_actions can continue to do so until August 1, 2018. No further apps will be approved to use publish_actions via app review. Developers currently utilizing publish_actions are encouraged to switch to Facebook’s Share dialogs for web, iOS, and Android.”

Blog post by Facebook

So today, you can’t connect to these platforms. Even if you try to connect your Facebook account to Twitter, it shows you the connection process but fails to connect.

You will see an endless loop if you try to connect to Twitter.

But on Twitter, you can connect to other social media networks like bitly, Mailchimp, Fiverr, etc. You can use this feature if you use any of these platforms more.

Twitter has also claimed that these errors occurred after Facebook’s policies changed, leading to the stopping of the automatic cross-posting feature on Facebook pages.

2. How to share a tweet manually on Facebook

So now let’s learn how to manually copy the link of twitter’s tweets and share them on your Facebook page and timeline.

Yes, I know this process is very boring and time-consuming, but this is the only process by which you can share tweets on your Facebook account.

Step-by-step Guide to sharing tweets

Step-4: Open your Facebook account and click on “new post”, then you can simply paste your link there.

Then you can click on the post button to post that tweet on your timeline.

These are the steps by which you can share a tweet on Facebook.

[Tip: before sharing, you can also add text to your Facebook post that leads to more engagements]

Can we share Twitter videos on Facebook?

Yes, we can share Twitter videos on Facebook. But as I previously stated that due to Facebook policies, you couldn’t automate this process, and you have to share all the posts and videos on Facebook manually. How to post a Twitter video on Facebook (Step-by-step)

To post Twitter videos on Facebook, the process is the same. You have to copy your desired video tweet address, and then you can directly post that link on Facebook.

Step-by-step tutorial

Step 1: Go to your Twitter account and select your desired tweet video. There you will see a share icon at the bottom of that post.

Step 2: You can click on that icon, and there you get the option “copy link to tweet” after clicking on the button, the link is copied to your clipboard.

  1. I tried the steps you suggest to share a Tweet to Facebook, copying and pasting the link. But it pastes a block with the name of the Twitter person and not the actual Tweet itself. Am I doing something wrong?
